For work I cover Web Video over at SocialTimes.com and part of my job includes scouring the web to find all the latest viral videos.  Over the past few weeks there have been some awesome videos with kids and I thought I’d share a few of my favorites to put a smile on your faces this weekend.  So here goes!

This first video is my pick ‘o the week.  This little kid gives a sweet inspirational speech after learning to ride a bike.  I wrote a post about the video earlier this week, which you can click here to read.  “Thumbs up for Rock ‘n Roll!”  Watch the video below and then check out more after the jump.

For the past week I have not been able to stop watching this video of a cute kitten hugging his teddy bear. He’s got a blanket and a pillow and everything.  The cat’s name is Meesha, not to be mistaken for Mishka, the husky dog that says “I love You”, and you can find out more about him on Kitty Cat Bliss, his owner’s website all about cats.

I’m a huge fan of viral videos, if you couldn’t tell.  One of the best I’ve seen in awhile is a video that Sumsung did for their new phone, the Samsung Omnia i900.  I don’t want to ruin it for you so check it out below and then tell me it’s not one of the best viral videos you’ve ever seen.  I dare you 🙂

Aside from cool videos, Samsung is also doing some pretty innovative stuff with their marketing campaign for the Omnia.  I’ve heard from my friend Ayelet of Blonde 2.0 that Samsung is working working with McCann Digital to promote the phone and as a big part of their promotion they are giving away the phone for free to popular bloggers.  Ayelet was lucky enough to receive a phone and you can read about some of her favorite features here.  Props to McCann Digital and Samsung for turning to social media and the blogosphere in their campaign and I look forward to see what they will come up with next!
