Beware the Loquat is a spin off of 365 Video Blog, a project started by Megan O’Neill in June 2008 in which she planned to post a video a day for an entire year. Unfortunately, on the sixth day of the project someone broke into her apartment and took her laptop, leaving her without the means to create or post videos for 2 months.
With no computer or Internet to occupy her time, Megan began reading and writing more, creating non-digital art and re-discovering the joys of art and culture. She decided to start Beware the Loquat, a blog dedicated to art, video, culture, literature and the bizarre. In short, this blog encompasses all of the things Megan likes and she hopes you like them too.

I think we all need to find a balance between the time we spend on the computer and the time we spend on our other interests.
Your forced break from the computer, and more importantly the outcome, should be a lesson to us all to pay more attention to our other needs… life has loads more to offer than just new technology – but I do love the net!
Manz – thanks for your comment, you are right that life has more to offer than new technology– but the net is addictive! 🙂
