Yes. That’s exactly what this is.  My dog was intrigued when I started watching a video on Facebook of my cousin playing with his dog with a squeaky toy.  So I decided to make a video of him too.  Yay!

My next ask? A video of my dog watching this video of himself watching a video.

So for my creative project this week I decided to do something a little different and teach myself a magic trick.  Well, I don’t know if you could call it “magic” actually, but it is a trick. 🙂  I learned how to fold money so that it looks like the portrait on the bill is smiling and frowning.  I learned how to do it from a fun YouTube video called ‘Top 10 quirky science tricks for parties.’  Check out my rendition in the video below.

So I’ve been pretty busy and I’ve got a few Creative Projects to get caught up on.  I’ve still been making a creative project each week as part of my New Year’s Resolution–52 Creative Projects in 2011, just haven’t gotten around to posting them here.  Last week, for Creative Project #19, I made a silent film starring my awesome dog Shechi.  Thanks to being posted on some Latvian site called ASS.lv (nice, right!?) my video has gotten over 1,000 views in the first week.  Thanks, Ass!  Yay!  Check out the video below.

For work I cover Web Video over at SocialTimes.com and part of my job includes scouring the web to find all the latest viral videos.  Over the past few weeks there have been some awesome videos with kids and I thought I’d share a few of my favorites to put a smile on your faces this weekend.  So here goes!

This first video is my pick ‘o the week.  This little kid gives a sweet inspirational speech after learning to ride a bike.  I wrote a post about the video earlier this week, which you can click here to read.  “Thumbs up for Rock ‘n Roll!”  Watch the video below and then check out more after the jump.

For my eighth project of 2011 I decided to make a video of my dog.  The other day he was lying on the floor and all of the sudden his ears just started shaking and wouldn’t stop, so I grabbed my camera.  Here is the result.  Enjoy!  Oh, and how cute is he?!

Last weekend my boyfriend, Elior, gave me two plants.  One of them was already in bloom but the other was just a couple of green sprouts.  I asked him what kind of plant it was and he told me, “It’s a surprise.”  The florist told him it would bloom within a week so I knew right away that for my fourth creative project of 2011 I wanted to make a time-lapse video of my new plant growing and blooming.

My tripod is M.I.A. so I set up a pile of books on my desk across from the plant with my camera on top of them and got to work (click here for a pic of my setup).  Every hour (approximately) I took a picture of the plant and you know what?  It was so exciting!  You never really think about growth until you see how much a plant can grow in a single hour and within less than one week my plant was in bloom.  Some new buds have formed so I’m still taking pictures and I’ll be updating the video as my plant grows more, but here’s what I’ve got so far.  The flowers got to heavy and started to fall over so we put sticks in to hold it up at the end.
