While browsing the shelves in the gift shop at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, MD, I happened across a DVD called “Monster Road” with a captivating cover.  It showed a man that looked kind yet deranged, reaching out with a small clay figure in his hand.  I didn’t know what it was, but I did know that I had to see this movie.

Last month I finally had the opportunity to visit the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) in Baltimore, MD.  My mom had been talking about the museum for a number of years, telling me about different exhibitions she had seen at her “new favorite museum”.  I was anxious to see the place after all of my mom’s talk, so on my last visit to the States in July I took a trip to see the museum for myself.
